Clayton Covington is a Sociology Ph.D. student at Harvard University with a research focus on the political economy of humanitarian intervention and cultural processes of social change in the Caribbean. Hailing from the suburbs of Kansas City, Clayton is always looking for the best barbecue in town and wears his Midwestern pride on his sleeve. Clayton holds an M.A. in Sociology from Harvard University and a B.A. in International and Area Studies with a minor in Sociology Magna Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Social Science Research Council, and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Prior to starting at Harvard, Clayton worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Sociology at Duke University and as a Research Aide to the National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect at Cornell University.
